Evolución continua en el sector financiero del país
El Sector Financiero es conformado por diferentes participantes como los Bancos, Aseguradoras, Federaciones de Cooperativas de Ahorro y Crédito, Cooperativas Independientes, Microfinancieras, Fundaciones de Crédito, Asociaciones de Crédito y Casas de Empeño entre otras. Al evaluar y analizar la naturaleza de cada tipo de institución y su comportamiento en el Sector Financiero, podemos darnos cuenta que están evolucionando e innovándose alrededor de tres elementos fundamentales:
- Robustecimiento de los Modelos de Negocio: Las instituciones fortalecen y mejoran constantemente su portafolio de productos y servicios financieros con la finalidad de incrementar su participación y posicionamiento en el mercado, atender a sus Clientes tanto en el área Urbana como Rural y facilitar el acceso a las diferentes gestiones y transacciones proporcionando ventajas y beneficios diferenciados de su competencia, incrementando el servicio al Cliente para alcanzar la excelencia y optimizar sus costos como parte del proceso.
- Cumplimiento con Entes Reguladores: En la medida que los modelos de negocio evolucionan y al incrementarse la cantidad de Clientes, los productos y servicios financieros se vuelven más complejos. En este escenario se vuelve crítico el cumplimiento de los requerimientos de protección al consumidor para evitar niveles de endeudamiento críticos que dañen a los clientes. Es por ello que continuamente los entes reguladores se encargan de analizar el comportamiento del Sector Financiero y, basándose en diferentes premisas, proponen e implementan normativas o regulaciones para su continuo monitoreo, evaluación y calificación del cumplimiento que les permita anticiparse y mitigar los riesgos en que incurre tanto la Institución Financiera como el Cliente mismo.
- Cambios Tecnológicos: Ante lo anteriormente expuesto, las Instituciones Financieras se están viendo en la necesidad de adoptar tecnologías modernas y adecuadas para sistematizar las operaciones y automatizar los procesos de negocio implementando controles estrictos para mitigar el riesgo operativo y el riesgo tecnológico. Estas tecnologías hoy en día se enfocan principalmente en el concepto Omnicanal que consiste en facilitar y brindar un servicio adecuado por medio tanto de la red de Agencias Propias como de los Agentes Corresponsales y de la red de Cajeros Automáticos. Del lado del mundo virtual, ofrecer el acceso por Internet, el uso de Dispositivos Móviles, los Medios Sociales y la Video Tecnología. Las instituciones líderes a nivel global están adquiriendo e implementando tecnologías de “Credit Factory” o Fábrica de Créditos que aporten valor para mitigar el riesgo crediticio de la Institución por medio de una calificación adecuada o “Credit Scoring” resolviendo al mismo tiempo el sobre-endeudamiento de sus Clientes. Estos procesos de calificación se verían fortalecidos con la conformación e implementación de una Central de Riesgo de crédito de País por medio del cual sea posible consolidar y concentrar la información crediticia de los Clientes de manera regulada para su protección. Paralelamente, las Instituciones Financieras están adoptando iniciativas que permiten consolidar la Inteligencia de Negocios interinstitucional para evaluar continuamente el comportamiento de sus productos y servicios financieros, sus canales de servicio, sus Colaboradores, sus Clientes y sus finanzas por medio de indicadores financieros y de cumplimiento según metodologías como Perlas o Camel entre otras.
Para concluir y, sin que estos temas sean menos importantes, hay un arduo trabajo por delante para las Instituciones Financieras para acelerar la Inclusión Financiera, llegar a todo el territorio nacional por medio de innovación e ideas que fortalezcan al sector y al Ciudadano, implementar herramientas tecnológicas que cuenten con mejores prácticas inmersas y fomentar la educación financiera.
